Online & Continuing Education (OCE) is committed to providing its users with the resources and services that are essential for their academic needs, regardless of distance or location. In keeping with this commitment, we have collaborated with the University of Illinois Library to assist off-campus and distance students with their library and information needs, including:
- Reference and research help
- Assistance with accessing electronic journals and other library resources
- Finding course reserves
- Troubleshooting the library’s electronic resources
- Assistance with Doc Express and Interlibrary Loan
Online & Continuing Education Student Resources from the Library is a guide created by the University Library with step-by-step instructions on how distance learners can obtain library resources and services.
To access the library’s electronic resources from off-campus, you need your NetID and password.
To borrow books from the library, you need the library ID number on your University of Illinois i-card. Your i-card also gives you borrowing privileges at I-Share member libraries.
For assistance in using the library, please use our Ask a Librarian Service.
